happy 4th!!

we had a great time in colorado!! weeks before we went, gar started his annual song
"let's all go kick-back in 'rado".
he'd make the kids sing it upon request so he could laugh. even adam was humming it by the time we left.

we had tons of fun. i took so many pictures!
the weather was absolutely perfect. i even welcomed the
downpour in the afternoons. there couldn't be a prettier
place. it was so nice to spend time with family.

we ended up spending the fourth- not at all like we had planned. needless to say, we all came away
from the day's events happy to have our family alive and
well. we were truly counting our blessings of life, family and the relationships we enjoy.

we are so blessed to live in this free country!

i have so many more pictures to get
post. i am not finding the time to post with all our fun activities.
this week is girls camp, and saturday
is bailey's baptism!! exciting stuff.

Oh wow. Those kids... they are growing up soo fast. I can't believe it. You must let me know if I can come to Bailey's baptism. I love that little chicka. She is so so cute.

I am soo glad that you all had a great time in Colorado. You know, I completely forgot that the whole fam was going up there and was wondering why there were no new posts from any of you! Well, duh, smack me in the head and call me goober.

Glad you're all back home safe & sound!

OK!! all I have to say is that truck looks "staged". Like it took a faux artist weeks, and quarts of paint, glaze, "ruster", etc to make it look like that. It is amazing!! And so is your artisitic eye and the gorgeous pics.. . . .not to mention the DARLING grandkids!! I WANT MOOOOOOOOORRRRE pics!!! when you have time.

Amy!!! Oh my gosh,I am so thrilled that you wrote on my blog! I don't know how you found it, but I'm glad you did! I've been wishing to be in touch with you for like TEN YEARS now, I sent you a couple of christmas cards but they were returned, and so I almost gave up. (I was considering writing to your dad c/o church hq!) Your little family is so beautiful, and I'm so thrilled to hear from you!
You're one of my favorite people EVER- I love you so much!!!!

Your 4th of July pictures are so cute. I hope you post more. I want to hear more about your holiday and how it didn't go as planned? Glad you are having fun in "RADO!" Your children are beautiful and how fun to have your oldest be baptized so soon. How did we get so old to have 8-year old kids? Just remember I will always be 3 weeks older than you!

CUTE pics!! I am glad you had a fun time!! LOVIN' your new blog topper! So super cute!! Yes I did get a new camear (David surprised me for our anniversary). He got me a Nikon D80, but then I went into this whole "I think I want a Cannon phase" and emailed everyone possible to ask them what they had. David told me I was fine, so I am trying to learn how to use it, but it is all kind of OVERWHELMING!!!!

I love the pictures of your kids. They look so cute in their 4th of July clothes.
The Colorado trip looks fun. Camp and a Baptism sounds like you have a pretty crazy life right now. If you need a babysitter or anything I'm available. Give me a call.
