Until now, I have just lurked on your blog. I knew Jeff and Cherie in CA, and found the link on Cherie's blog. Thank you for the precious pics of Pres and Sis Hinckley. You are absolutely right, what a fantastic example of love eternal. You made my day.
Ames - This post is THE BEST!! I have been feeling so sorry for myself because I will miss hearing President Hinckley's wonderful voice, inspiration and direction and seeing our "cute little grandfather figure" at General Conference twice a year. But now, I feel so happy for them - Pres. and Sister Hinckley - and for myself for having "known and loved" them even if it was from a far.
That was my exact thought...I felt sad knowing Pres. Hinckley will no longer speak to us but I smiled knowing he was together again with his wife. He will be missed.
