crazy hair day, the day after...

so this is adam on the school's crazy hair day. he thought he was pretty cool.

funny enough, my dad commented that he hadn't seen that much hair on adam for a long time.

i have learned those words are the kiss of death.

the following pictures were taken the next day day.

i don't love the buzz thing gar does with the boys' hair, but about 9 years ago, we had a conversation. i'll set the mood.

it was a hot summer day. bailey's first birthday had just passed. the dress i had lovingly purchased for her one year pictures was hanging in her closet. then i felt it. quiet. garrett is never quiet.

i walked closer to the bathroom. that dang buzzing sound. i heard it, and i knew; call it mother's intuition. her hair was almost grown out from the last time he buzzed it. (he first buzzed it @ 2 months old when half her hair fell out when i washed it @ bath time. he wanted it to grow in evenly). she had a cute lil' bob, and it was just tucking under her ears. i walked in and he was almost finished. i was furious. i told him when we have a boy, he can do what he wants to his hair. if he buzzed bailey's hair again, it would be the last time he used his hands. ever. i don't even remember if i took her one year pictures. that dress was so cute...

so this is what he does to the boys. i'm glad adam has fun with it. he walked out dancing and laughing. the pictures are blurry because i was shaking with laughter.

after the skullet phase and dance party, he returned to the barber's chair to finish the job.
a buzz is the final product.
