create goals that create excitement in your heart

today is the last day of the 21 day challenge. wow. does 3 weeks really pass by that quickly?! it has been awesome and i am so excited to choose a new goal and make it my focus for the next 21 days!!
rhonna shared this quote. i absolutely love it! it speaks to me.

I urge you to examine your life. Determine where you are and what you need to do to be the kind of person you want to be. Create inspiring, noble, and righteous goals that fire your imagination and create excitement in your heart. And then
keep your eye on them. Work consistently toward achieving them. ~ Joseph B. Wirthlin

wow, this quote really makes me look at the word "goal" in such a different way than i am used to seeing it. gotta admit it, sometimes i get in the rut and almost look at the word 'goal' as a four letter word. i hear it so much, it becomes trite and los
es all meaning to me. (have you ever had a word typed on the computer, you highlight it, and scroll through the different fonts? each time the word slightly changes as the font changes, and soon it only looks like shapes instead of a word). that's kinda what i feel toward goal.
but this quote really changed that for me.

choose
create
inspire
fire the imagination
create excitement in your heart

i can do that.
i identify with the need to create excitement in my heart. i really like to do things that excite me. doesn't everyone?
and i can help my kids see that. i can help them choose the goals that
speak to them and get them fired up.

and the key to goals, IMO~ is to always be focused and working on at least one thing.
smooches...

What is this thing called the 21 day challenge? I'm trying to make goals, and just like you, I look at the word goal as a 4 letter word.

I've always struggled with keeping my goals.

love it amy! you hit it right on and said it so nicely! i'm not quite done with my 21 day challenge and even though i haven't blogged yet, i have still been plugging away. love your thoughts and love the quote you shared by Elder Wirthlin.
