Stylist?

A few weeks back, my sister called and asked if she could hire me as the stylist for her Let's Play Music convention. My curiosity was piqued.

"There's a board of women working on the convention. They are amazing", she said. "Everything is organized, purchased, booked, etc. You won't need to do any of that. I let them know that as far as the aesthetics go, you're the boss. All I need you to do is make it look good."

loving it, sounding good... I inquire further.

These are my assigned areas:
1. Candy Buffet (oooh, fun!)
2. Sign-in table (got it)
3. Put the finishing touch on everything else. I'm in!

I start looking at candy right away. After choosing the types, I made this sample so she could get a feel for the color combination. Friday we ordered 50 lbs. of candy. (It must look copious, no? I researched and the average guest takes 1/3- 1/2 lb. of candy. We have 100 guests.)

I asked if she could describe the desired vibe in one word. Whimsical. She sent these images of the signage.
Love 'em. They gave me an instant feel for the event.

I'm invited to a meeting this morning. It's being held at the venue so we can get a better idea of how much space we have, and the table placement. This is too much fun!
